About Vanguard Scholars Day

We are excited to announce Vanguard’s Second Annual Vanguard Scholars Day. This campus-wide event is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and learning.

VU Scholars Day celebrates scholarship and academic engagement which embodies the institution’s commitment to pursue knowledge. Vanguard affirms its dedication to critical thinking and information competency by hosting this multidisciplinary day of scholarship commemorating academic discovery and intellectual adventure across the disciplines.

Faculty, staff, and students can have an opportunity to share their research, scholarship, and artistic pieces with each other as well as with guests from the community. This day is designed to honor inquiry, research, creative activity, and scholarship at Vanguard. Join us for an inspiring and engaging day.

Event Details

Activities will be on April 16, 2020. Faculty, staff, and students will have an opportunity to share their research, scholarship, and artistic pieces with each other and guests from the surrounding communities. Join us for an inspiring and engaging day to honor inquiry, research, creative activity, and scholarship at Vanguard University. Purpose

Vanguard Scholars Day is a one-day celebration of undergraduate research and scholarship. We are excited about the possibility of being able to provide this focus on research and learning in collaboration with faculty who want to incorporate this event into their courses and other events this semester.

The goals of a campus-wide research day are:

Enhance the culture of academics at Vanguard University
Celebrate undergraduate scholarship and faculty-student collaborations as well as the unique academic experiences that occur within the halls of Vanguard’s classrooms, labs, and performance venues, including undergraduate research, creative works, internship, and study abroad experiences.
Provide a venue for students to gain experience presenting research and original work and to discuss their work with their peers and faculty.
Foster collaboration and community support for academic excellence and scholarship at Vanguard.

Get Involved

We invite research or creative works presentations in a multitude of formats including oral presentations, poster sessions, creative arts exhibits or performances. Please fill out the Vanguard Scholars’ Day Interest Form to express the extent of your desire to get involved and how that might happen.
