We have an entire section of the IFD website dedicated to supporting you in teaching using Canvas, Vanguard’s Learning Management System (LMS).
This is the system you will use to communicate assignments to students, provide feedback and grades on individual assignments (final grades do not carry over from Canvas over to the official grade record, kept by the registrar), send messages, and more. Canvas access is granted by the Registrar and IT Department once your classes have been assigned by your Department Chair.
A blank course shell is created for all courses. You can import a shell you used in a prior semester and have the dates adjust for the new semester for assignments and other date-related info.

Whenever you are logged in to Vanguard’s Canvas site, you have access to 24/7 help desk support direct from Canvas.
