Connect to Wifi
IT can help set you up for wireless connection on your laptop and phone.
Set Up Your Classroom
Discover how to connect your laptop to a projector with this video. Contact IT to set an appointment if you need additional training on classroom connectivity or on the A/V system in your classroom.
Special classroom set-ups in the classroom require two (2) days notice to ensure a proper response.
Requests for weekend support also require two (2) days advance notice to allow IT time to accommodate your request.
In the case of your laptop malfunctioning, IT has short-term check-outs for laptops available.
Print On Campus
Each department usually has a computer that adjuncts can log into and use to print off any documents you may need. IT does not connect personal laptops to the printing server. Documents can also be sent to the copy center for printing.
Access the VU Portal
To access the employee portal, go to the three bars on the top right of your page and login.
If you need help, contact the VU webmaster or VU webhelp. The Portal is managed through Marketing and not IT.

Obtain a Parking Permit
Visit the parking permit page to obtain a parking permit. There is no charge for Parking Permits for resident or adjunct faculty. They do not need to be renewed every year.

View the campus map on the Vanguard website, as well as our campus location map.
Access Your Classroom
Consult with your department for whom you are teaching to discuss procedures for getting access to your designated classroom(s). Depending on the location and time of day, the room may/may not already be unlocked. As a backup, you can contact Campus Safety at 714-966-6799 and they will come over and unlock the room.
Stay Safe with Campus Safety and Emergency Services
Vanguard has one or more officers on duty, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. To reach them on a campus phone, you may dial x 6799 anytime.
In the event of a medical or other emergency situation, while you are on campus and have access to a campus phone, you should immediately dial 911 and then call x6799. You can also dial ‘0’ to reach the campus operator. If you do not have access to a campus phone, you can use your cell phone to call Campus Safety directly at 714-966-6799.
